Teaching aims and demands:


1、         能听懂会说,会读句子: What is he/she doing?及相应的回答。


2、         能听得懂、会说、会读日常交际用语和句型:Are you free now?


How about…?


3、  能熟练朗读并能表演The first part of  Part A


4、  进一步巩固句型What are you doing? 及相应的回答。


5、  通过听说训练使学生学会打电话的方式,并能正确地运用所学句型进行交际对话。





Focal points :

2、 通过听说训练使学生学会打电话的方式,并能正确地运用所学句型进行交际对话。





Teaching  steps


Step 1  Have a free talk


1、 Student says the daily report.


2、 Have a free talk.


Step 2  Play a game“Listen and do”


T:Stand up,boys and girls.What are you doing?S1:I’m standing.S2:I’m standing.


T: What are you doing,boys and girls?Ss:We’re standing.


Step 3  Do exercises


1、Adding “ing”


stand  jump  walk  skate  write  dance  sit  run


2、Say the chant(Looking at the blackboard):


Stand standing,what are you doing? Stand standing,I’m standing.


Jump jumping, what are you doing? Jump jump,we’re jumping.


Step 4  Presentation


1、  Teach “What is he doing?He’s ……”


T:Now,boys and girls ,what are you doing? Ss:We’re sitting.


T:What is he doing?(point to a boy) Help students answer:He’s sitting.


Write the sentences on the Bb,learn them.


2、 Adding “How about ……?”


2、  Play a game


Ask a student to come to the front and make actions,other students guess,using the sentences on the Bb.Add you’re right. /Sorry, you’re wrong.


3、  Teach “What’s she doing?She’s ……in the same way.


Step 5  Sing a song《What are you doing?》


Step 6  Read and say


The first part of Part A


1、 T:Today ,I’ll introduce three new friends to you.Let’s see “who are they?”(请两位带头饰的同学上台)


2、 Sing“Hello,how are you” to have a greeting


3、 T:It’s Sunday morning.Let’s see “What are they doing?”


4、 The three students act the dialogue of the first part.


5、 Answer the question,teach “The telephone is ringing.”


6、 Listen to the tape.Think the following questions:


1)    Where are they?Are they free?


2)    Who’s calling to them?


3)    What is Su Hai doing?


4)    How about Su Yang?


7、Read the dialogue in different forms.


8、Act the dialogue.


Step 7  Consolidation


1、Explain the style of how to make a call


2、Show the pictures of Part D,practice in pairs.


   A:Is that Liu Tao? B:No.


   A:Where’s he?   B:He’s in the bedroom.


   A:What’s he doing? B: He’s sleeping.


4、  Choose some pairs to act.


Step 8  Homework


Make a new dialogue about making a call,prepare to act next lesson.
