Ⅰ About text
The text book is divided into several units, each unit focus on a topic. This unit mainly focus on “asking the nationalities”. Lesson 13 is the first lesson , it’s mainly talk about how to introduce a person and ask the nationalities. That can increase the interests of leaning the detail knowledge about “asking nationalities” in the following lessons.

1、 knowledge aim:
Read and spell the new words, the sentences used to introduce a person appeared in this lesson
2、 ability aim:
Freely to introduce a person and to ask the nationalities. They were required to perform the dialogue well-trained.
3、 motional aim:
Permeate patriotism education when teach nationalities, also permeate comity education when teach how to introduce a person. To deepen their patriotic enthusiasm and comity.

Ⅴ Teaching process
Step 1 Conduction
1、 late about half a minute, teach “Sorry, I’m late.”
2、 Greeting
3、 T: Is everyone here today?
S: Yes, we are.
T: Well, we are all here today. Are we all here today?
S: Yes, we are.
Step 2 Presentation and Drilling
1、 (T)Show the picture of Li Lei. Say: I’m Li Lei. I’m from China.
I’m Chinese. I speak Chinese. Teach “China & Chinese”
(S) read and spell after the teacher
(T)ask: Where are you from?
(S) answer the question, then work in pairs
2、ask students to introduce themselves.
3、(T) show the picture of Alice, say: This is Alice, my English friend. She’s form London. She’s English. She can speak English. She is a student in a middle school. (show these sentences one by one) Teach “London & middle school”
(S) read and spell the words after the teacher.
4、(T) say: If you were Alice, try to introduce yourself(show the sentence with blanks as hints)
(S) try to introduce as they were Alice ( with the help of the hints.)
5、(T) show the picture of this lesson, say:
Now , I’ll introduce some of my Chinese friends. They are Helen and Han Meimei, they are Young Pioneers.
Teach “Young Pioneers”
(S) read and spell the words after the teacher.
6、(T) point to the date, ask: What day is it?
(S) 儿童节
(T) teach “Children’s Day”
(S) read and spell the word after the teacher.
7、(T) say: If today was Children’s Day. Where are you going to?
Give the model:
A: Where are you going to?
B: I’m going to the park.
(S) make up similar dialogues
(T) say: That’s great. Can I go with you?(in red)
(S)Sure. (in red)
(T) teach “--- Can I to with you.
--- Sure” (show the sentences one by one)
(S) practise the short dialogue in pairs.
Step 3 Practice
1 、(T)play the tape
(S)read the text follow the tape
2、(T) hand out some masks of different characters from different countries,say: I’m from China. Where are you from?
(S) work in pairs.
Step 4 Consolidation
1、 (T)show a dialogue with blanks
(S)try to fill the blank.
2、(T)check the answer
3、(S)work in groups, then perform it.
Step 5 Homework
1、 finish the copybook.
2、 finish the exercise book.

Ⅵ Conclusion
