Background information:

Explain the context. Simon is reading an article about a famous astronaut, Neil Armstrong. Ask students whether they know when the first man walked on the moon. Also ask them if they know the names of the first two men who walked on the moon. Tell students that they will learn more about men visiting the moon in the reading passage.

3.
Students listen to the recording for the first three paragraphs and then read them after the tape again.

4.
Do True or False questions to check understanding of the first three paragraphs.

He flew in an aero plane when he was six.

The Gemini 8 mission is all about star signs.

Gemini 8 landed in the USA.

增殖体的肥大

 1.全身抵抗力降低,如过度疲劳、受凉受湿、营养不良、维生素缺乏,腺样体肥大治疗
以及生活环境不良所致。
  2.变态反应体质,全身性疾病如贫血、内分泌功能不足(如甲状腺、脑垂体和性腺等功能减退),急性传染病如流感、麻疹、猩红热、腺样体肥大症状白喉等均可诱致本病发生。
  3.鼻腔的一些疾病,如鼻中隔偏曲、中鼻甲肥大、鼻息肉、变态反应性鼻炎、增殖体肥大治疗
鼻腔异物或鼻腔肿瘤,也可引起鼻窦炎。
  4.邻近病灶,如扁桃体炎或腺样体肥大、上颌第二双尖牙及第一、第二磨牙根部的感染,增殖体肥大拔牙时损伤上颌窦壁或龋齿残根坠入上颌窦内等也可导致鼻窦炎。
  5.其它,如鼻窦外伤骨折;游泳时跳水姿势不当(如取立式跳水),或潜水与游泳后擤鼻不当,污水进入鼻窦内;鼻腔内填塞物置留时间过久;高空飞行迅速下降,鼻中隔偏曲症状窦腔与外界形成相对的负压,将鼻腔分泌物吸入鼻窦等也能造成发病。
