Step1 Warming up
1. Greetings and free talk.
2. Play a game:Yes or No
1)    There are55 students in your class.
2)    There area lot of books in your bag.
3)    There is abeautiful teacher in front of you.
4)    There is aTV in this classroom.
3. 1 minute – non – stop– talk
Topic: What’s in the classroom?
要求学生正确运用there be 句型进行操练
Step2 Cartoon time
1. Talk about the picture
  What can you see in this picture? Who are they?
  IsBobby happy? Scan and find the answersWhat can he do?
2. Listen and answer
  CanBobby find the cake? Why?
Teach: There aren’t any cakes here.
3. Read and answer
Where are the cakes now? Open your books and try to find the answers.
S: Tina and Bobby’s cousin eats the cakes.
T: That’s right! The cakes are in theircousin’s mouth. Look at Picture 4. Tina is very surprised, so she says ‘Hereare the cakes!’ Who can be Tina?
指导学生模仿Tina 说一说句子。
T: Look at Bobby and his cousin. How do theyfeel? Can you fill in the blanks?

T: I guess he’d like a glass of juice. Lookat the coffee and the tea. Maybe our parents like them. Which is popular inChina, coffee or tea?Ss: Tea.
T: Yes. Follow me: Tea is popular in China.How about coffee? Oh, coffee is popular in Western countries.

2. T: Different foodand drinks are popular in different countries. Now let’s talk about morepopular food and drinks in China and in Western countries. For example, noodlesare popular in China, and hamburgers are popular in Western countries. Can yousay something more? You may discuss in pairs first.
