教学目标
1.知识目标:
重点单词:pocket money、a pair of、size、another、fit 、expensive
重点短语: try them on、  too large 、walk a long way to school

They fit very well.

②使学生在创设的购物情景中提高口语表达能力

教学过程:
Step one: Lead-in
  The teacher says:I know you always have some ways to get pocket money .Some are from your parents and some are from your relatives .How to use your pocket money correctly is very important. Today lets talk about this topic.
1. Make a survey about using pocket money by asking the following questions:
(1) What do you often buy with your pocket money?
(2) How often do you buy snacks with it?
(3) How often do you buy books with it?
(4) Will you spend your pocket money buying presents for your friends or your parents or your grandparents?
(5) Have you ever used your pocket money to buy something to help poor people?
(6) Do you have a habit to save pocket money?
2. Work in groups of four .To talk about how to use your pocket money.Let one of the students write down their ideas and report them to the whole class.
Step two: Presentation
1.Show some pictures of PartA1,on Page87.Let the students try to guess:How do they use their pocket money?
2.Listen to the tape .Complete PartA1,on Page87.
3.Check the answers.
Step three: Presentation
1. Show a picture of Hope Primary School。T:This is a Hope Primary School in Yunnan. Students here live a very poor life. Do you think they have any pocket money? And if they have,how do they spend it?
2. Show the pictures of PartA2,on Page87.T: Do you think the children in poor area need these things?Let the students have a short discussion.
3. Listen to the conversation between Simon and his mother.Choose what the children need.
4. Listen again and complete the reasons why they need them.
5. Finish Part A3,on Page88 and ask one student to read the letter and others check their answers.
Step four: Practice
1. Practice in groups of four .To talk about how to help the children in poor areas .
2. Encourage the students to say out their ideas.
Step five: Speak up
Lead-in
1.T:When we buy clothes or shoes ,we always need to try them on .(The teacher takes out a preparing coat and puts it on .)Then says : Let me try this coat on .Oh ,it fits very well.What size is it? Let me have a look .It’s Size6. Just my size.
2.At the same time,teach the new words ‘‘try on, fit, size”
Step six: Presentation
1. T:Simon and his mother are in a shop.They are talking to the shopkeeper.Open your books and turn to Page88,read the conversation silently and answer the question:
          Do they buy the shoes?
2. Listen to the conversation and answer the two questions:
        What would Simon like to buy?
        What’s Simon’s size?
3. Read after the tape and answer:How much do the shoes cost?
4. Read the dialogue in pairs.
5. Ait it out.
Step seven:Activities
1. Work in groups of three.Make our own conversation using the information given in PartB2.
2. Show and share.
Step eight: Homework
1. To remember the new words, phrases and sentences in this lesson.
2. To write a letter about how to help the poor students to our headmaster.
