这里用动词不定式表示目的   他停下来问路。He stopped         (ask) the way.

a) have+现在分词 done 表示“已经……”，是现在完成时。现在完成时表示一个过去动作对现在的影响或动作从过去的一个点一直持续到现在（可能还仍在持续着）。
b) prevent阻止，预防
prevent/ stop/keep sb. from doing sth. 阻止某人做某事(其中prevent和stop 可省略from)
我们应该阻止人们猎杀野生生物。We should prevent/ stop/keep people from hunting wildlife.
8.importance 重要性，不可数名词   important(形容词)

语法：
1. in order to do 引导目的状语从句，比to do 更正式
一群年轻人聚在一起为了讨论这个问题。
A group of young people got together (in order) to discuss this question.
= In order to discuss this question, a group of young people got together.
可和so that / in order that引导的目的状语从句转换。
为了准时上班，他打了个的士。
He took a taxi in order to arrive at work on time.
=He took a taxi in order that he could arrive at work on time.
=He took a taxi so that he could arrive at work on time.
2. cover  n. 封面, 盖子(C); 庇护所 (U)   
把你的名字写在书的封面上。Write your name on the cover of your book.
湿地为野生生物提供庇护所。The wetlands provide cover for wildlife.
vt. 覆盖; 包括  常用短语be covered with被……覆盖
积雪覆盖了大地。Snow covered the groud. =The ground was covered with snow.
cover an area of…(=be … in area.) 覆盖/ 占地……的面积
我们学校占地面积为3000平方米。Our school covers an area of 3000 square metres.
3. protect意为“保护，警戒”，常与from连用
你应该时时保护好你自己。You should protect yourself at all times.
她带手套以免手受冻。 She wears gloves to protect her hands from the cold.  
以免眼睛受强烈阳光的伤害protect his eyes from the strong sunlight
4. It is + adj. + for sb. to do sth.  表示对某人来说做某事怎么样
   对我来说, 解决这道数学题很容易。 It’s easy for me to work out the math problem.
   孩子们在那条河里游泳是危险的。 It is dangerous for children to swim in that river.
It is + adj. + of sb. to do sth.  做某事某人是怎么样的
表示人的品质的形容词+ of，如kind, friendly, generous, honest, polite…

if “如果”,引导条件状语从句，主将从现
We won’t go birdwatching if it __________(rain) tomorrow.  = if it _________ rainy tomorrow.
