8B unit2 Travelling      第三课时Reading(2)教案
教学目标:1. To figure out the structure of each passage.
          2. To understand and use the expression in the text.
          3. To recognize and understand vocabulary about travelling.
教学重点:To understand the main idea of Reading.
教学难点:To practise the main language points of the context.
教具学具:A small blackboard, pictures.
教学设计:

预习作业:
Preview:
Read the whole text fluently.
Underline some phrases and difficult sentences.
Finish off Part B2 and D.
Dictation:  
1.一个世界著名的主题公园         a world-famous park
2.度过一段美妙的时光(玩的开心) have a fantastic time
3.包括四个公园                   include four different parks
4.在宾馆的入口处                 at the entrance to the hotel
5.贯穿整个行程                   through the whole ride
6.比如                           such as
7.看上去如此可爱                 look so cute
8.忍不住做某事                   can’t stop doing sth.

预习交流:
Check out the phrases.
Check the answer of B2 and D. (fountain, parade, waved, souvenirs. F, T, F, T)

Pre-reading
Have a free talk with Ss about the places of interest in the world.
While-reading
Step one: Revision
Read aloud the passage together and try to answer more questions.
1.How did Kitty think of her stay in Hong Kong Disneyland?   ( It was fantastic.)
2.What did they see at the entrance?                       ( The whale fountain.)
3.Why couldn’t Kitty stop taking photos with Disneyland Characters? ( Because they all looked nice and cute.)
4.What was the best part of the day?                    ( They parade of Disney Characters.)
5.What did they buy as souvenirs?     ( Some stationery, a beautiful purse and a pretty hair clip.)
Step two: Read and practice
1. Read the text again in groups.
2. Finish Part B1 and C. ( theme park, characters, performers, costumes, marching; my parents, twelve, the parade, the fireworks, nice and cute, cousin, hair clip.)
3. Check the answers.
Step three: Points
1. Read the text again, find out more phrases.
2. Explain some difficult sentences and language points.
3. Important sentences.
1) I heard you’ve gone to Thailand.
2) I’ve been here in Hong Kong for two days.
        3) I met many of my favourite Disneyland characters, such as Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Alice and Cinderella.
        4) The performers all wore different costumes and waved to people while they marched across the park, singing and dancing all the way.
5) The children clapped and screamed with joy.

Post-reading
1. Activities can be used if you are interested:
2. Ask Ss to guess the place you give.
3. Talk about the theme park.
4. Describe one of your trips to the park.
