二、重、难点讲解
1、反身代词
英语中用来表示“某人自己”之意的代词称为反身代词。如：myself ，yourself ，himself， herself， itself ，ourselves， yourselves，themselves。
反身代词的基本用法：
(1). 作宾语，表示动作的承受者就是动作的执行者，即：主语和宾语为同一个人或同一些人。如：
Her brother taught himself English.
她哥哥自学了英语。
They can look after themselves now.
现在他们能照顾自己了。
(2).作名词、代词的同位语，强调语气，作“亲自、本人”解。在句中可置于名词或代词后，也可置于末尾。如：
I myself made the advertisement.= I made the advertisement myself.
我亲自制作了这个广告。
(3).固定搭配
  say to oneself 自言自语                enjoy oneself 过得开心
  teach oneself  自学                   help oneself to …随意吃……
  by oneself独立地                     for oneself为自己
  take are of/look after oneself 照顾自己     it oneself 本身
2. I wonder where Simon is hiding.我想知道西蒙藏在哪里。
句中wonder 是动词，意为“想知道”，where Simon is hiding跟在wonder后面作宾语从句，从句中应用陈述句语序。如：
I wonder when he will come.
我想知道他将什么时候来。
They are wondering what they should do and what they should not do.
他们想知道什么该做，什么不该做。
3. Simon is trying to pull himself up too！西蒙也在尽力往岩石上爬！  
Pull是动词，意为“拉，拖，拔”，反义词为push(推) 。pull up意为“往高处攀爬，拔起来，费力地站起来”。如：
Don’t pull up the young trees.
别把小树苗拔起来。
He pulled his brother out of bed.
他把弟弟从床上拖了起来。
4. Simon and Linda looked at each other.西蒙和琳达互相看了看。
  Each other 意为“两者互相”，若表示三者或三者以上的“互相”，用one another。如：Sandy and Betty often help each other.
    桑迪和贝蒂经常互相帮助。
   The students looked at one another and didn’t know how to work out the problem.同学们互相看看，不知如何解答这道题。（不止两人）
5. They kept their secrect to themselves.他们保守了自己的秘密。
   Keep sth. To oneself意为“保守秘密”，如：
  She kept her idea to herself.
  她没和别人说出自己的想法。
  You should learn to keep secrects to yourself.
  你应该学会保密。
