一.教学内容
Unit8  My dad is a doctor    第一课时  Story time
二、教学目标:
1. 能听懂、会读、会说单词:cook, doctor, teacher, nurse, worker等职业词汇。
2. 能听懂、会读、会说日常交际用语My dad/mum… is a doctor/…  He’s/She’s a teacher/…来谈论职业,语音语调正确。
3.能正确朗读、理解、表演Story time,语音语调正确。
4.能模仿课文创编对话。
三、教学重难点:
教学重点:

四、教学过程:
Step1: Warmup & Lead in
1.     Greetings
2.     Enjoy a song: Watch the cartoon:  Jobs song.
3.     Learning aims:
(1)  I can say some words about jobs.
(2)  I can read, understand and act out the story.
(3)  I can talk about more people’s jobs..
4.     Play a game: Brain storm
T: Boys and girls, let’splay a game. The game is called brain storm. You can say some words and makethe sky wheel turn around. Let’s start!
(1) Colours :  orange  red    green   blue     pink    white   black   ......
2Adjectives big   small   long    short     fat   nice  ......
(3)  Family members:dad, mum, uncle, aunt, cousin,grandma, grandpa…
Step2:Presentation & Practice
1.     Let’s learn
Miss Yang’s family tree:
T: Well done! You have known many wordsabout family members. Now look! Here is a family tree. There are some photos onthe tree. Guess, whose family tree is it? Maybe Su Hai’s family tree, maybeMiss Liu’s family, can you guess?
Ss: ……
T: Look! This is my family tree.
T: Who’s he? Guess!
Ss: He’s your dad.
T:Yes! He’s my dad. My dad is a doctor.   (Learn: doctor)
Drill : doctor       o-o-doctor
T: My dad is a doctor.   (Learn: My dad is a ……)
T: Who can be Miss Yang and try to introduce my dad?
学生戴头饰,尝试说一说: My dad is a doctor.
T: Who’s she?
Ss: She’s your mum.
T:What does she do? Guess! (遮盖部分图片)
Ss: She is a ...
T: My mum is a nurse.    ( Learn: nurse)
Drill: nurse            
Drill: My mum is a nurse.
T: Who can be Miss Yang and try to introduce my mum?
学生戴头饰,尝试说一说: My mum is a nurse.
T: Look! This is me! I’m a teacher…  ( Learn: teacher     i: teacher )
2.     Story time
T: Boys and girls, you have know about my parents’jobs. How about Wang Bing, Su Hai, Yang Ling and Liu Tao’s parents?
(1)  Look and say
T: Look at the pictures and guess: what are theytalking about?
A. Colours             B. Jobs              C. Food
(2)Watch and tick
①I can guess:
Q: What jobs are they talking about?
Ss: doctor, nurse, teacher, cook…
T:Maybe you are right. I have some jobs for you . Theyare: nurse, doctor, teacher, cook, worker. Now let’s watch the cartoon andcheck your answers.
②Watch and tick
Key: doctor   nurse  teacher    cook
Learn and drill:  cook    worker   
T: In story time, they are talking about doctor,nurse, teacher, cook. Nobody is a worker. (worker消失)
依次放大复习:doctor   nurse   teacher   cook
(4)Read and match(图文结合)
T:Now let’s read and match:What do they do? Please open your books and page 36. Try to read and match, andyou can discuss in two.
Wang Bing’s dad         ( My dad is a cook.)
SuHai’s dad             ( Mydad is a doctor.)
YangLing’s mum         ( My mum is a teacher.)
LiuTao’s mum           ( My mum is a nurse.)
T:(示范)I’m Wang Bing. This is mydad. He’s a cook.
Who can be Wang Bing/SuHai/Yang Ling/ Liu Tao and try to introduce your parents?  (戴头饰、拿图片介绍。)
WangBing: My dad is a cook.
SuHai: My dad is a doctor.
YangLing: This is my mum. She’s a teacher.
LiuTao: My mum is a nurse.
(5)I can read
①Listen and read: 分解图片,逐句练说。
②Read in groups
T:It’s reading time. Pleasebe 4 students in a group and choose one way to read.
4人一组,选择一种方式读一读: read in roles & readtogether & read one by one& ...
③Read and check : Ask 2 groupsto check & read together.
(6)Show time
T: It’s showtime. If you can act the story, you can get 3 star. If you can act with actionsand expressions , you can get 4 stars. If you can add more words, you can get 5stars.
①示范:Teacher and three students act WangBing, Su Hai, Yang Ling and Liu Tao.
        I’m WangBing. This is my dad. He’s a cook.  ……
T: How many stars can we get?
Ss: 3/4/5 stars.
  ②Prepare in groups
  ③Ss act in groups.
  ④Check: How many stars canthey get?   Ss:….     T: ……(生评+师评)
Step3: Consolidation  
T: We all know Wang Bing’sdad is a cook, Su Hai’s dad is a doctor, Yang Ling’s mum is a teacher and LiuTao’s mum is a nurse. How about Wang Bing’s mum, Su Hai’s mum, Yang Ling’s dadand Liu Tao’s dad? Look!I have somekey words for you . Please try to introduce their parents’ jobs.
(1)    示范
T:Let’sbe Su Hai together and try to introduce her mum .
Ss: Hello, I’m Su Hai. Thisis my mum. My mum is a worker. She’s short. She likes dogs.  
T: This is about Su Hai’smum. Now please be 4students in a group and choose one person to act it out.You can use all the sentences:
Useful words and sentences:
Hello./Hi./Good morning. I’m……
This is my dad.  He’s tall .He’s a …He likes …
This is my mum. She’s short.She’s a … She likes…
(2)Prepare in groups.
(3)Ss act in groups.
Step4: Homework
1.       Listen to the tape and read the story time.
2.       Preview the Fun time and rhyme time.
3.       Finish your own family tree and try to introduce your parents’ jobs.
